The official website of the mayor of Moscow reported that four reindeer have settled in the Moscow Zoo. The group consists of a young four year old male and three females born in 2009, 2013 and 2021.

New settlers live in a two-segment enclosure with a total area of 800 and 1200 square meters. It is located in the old territory of the zoo opposite the musk oxen. In the enclosure there are large boulders and large logs for combing wool and horns. On the territory there is also a moat with water, in which deer can rinse themselves in the heat. The male may like hangings for branch food, which are interesting to butt.

The zoo staff hope that the deer will successfully adapt and give birth, so a two-section enclosure was specially designed for them. In addition, there is a full-fledged heated house on the territory, in which animals can warm up in case of bad weather.
