The Prioksko-Terrasny reserve (Serpukhov urban district) holds an action "Chest of Good", in which guests of a specially protected natural area can bring various gifts to bison, the press service of the reserve reports.

“Now the first harvest of fruits has appeared on the household plots. Apples are disappearing, sacks of zucchini languish idle, and on the way are carrots and beets. Bison have an excellent healthy appetite. One adult animal eats about 40-50 kg of grass per day, plus 2-3 kg of compound feed. However, they will never refuse a snack before the main meal."

You can bring the animals both fruit and vegetables, and bags of feed. And if you do not have a backyard, but have a great desire to take care of the animals, go out into the forests and parks of the city in search of acorns. This is the favorite and useful delicacy of bison, because acorns are a storehouse of vitamins, minerals and nutrients.
