The 5th Anniversary Festival of city excursions HOTO|CITY will be held from May 5 to May 8 in Ulan-Ude and Irkutsk - the two capitals of the Baikal coast. This was reported on the website of the event.
So, in the capital of Buryatia there will be tram, walking and bus sightseeing and thematic tours. Among them - a visit to the famous Ivolginsky datsan - a Buddhist monastery, the official residence of the spiritual leader of Buddhists in Russia.

The festival program in Ulan-Ude also includes excursions to the Buryat Drama Theater and the Opera and Ballet Theatre.
On May 7 and 8, Irkutsk will host walking and bus tours that will introduce guests to the western shore of Lake Baikal.
As the organizers promise, the participants will walk along the banks of the Angara, visit the Baikal Museum and the fish market, learn about the history of protected areas on Lake Baikal, see the very first church in Siberia, an Art Nouveau Catholic church, a unique Eisenhower fountain, the confluence of the Angara and Irkut, and old houses from the time of the Russian-American trading company.
