According to the official portal of Karelia, the number of tourists wishing to visit Solovki and the island archipelago of Kuzov, located in the Karelian water area of the White Sea, has increased.

“Guests of the republic are also attracted by white whales - beluga whales that come here in the summer to give birth and feed their cubs. Tourists from various parts of Russia come to admire graceful animals without disturbing them in their natural habitat.

The upward trend in the flow of tourists to Karelia contributes to the development of business in the Arctic zone of Russia, the government of the republic notes.

“Maritime passenger transportation services are provided by Andrey Mazherin, an individual entrepreneur. Having become one of the first residents of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation on the territory of the Kemsky district, he is known to residents and guests of the region under the brand name "Spoloh", the official portal reports.
