ffffiHLkma.jpgAs a result of an open vote the first vice-president of the Russian Geological Society, Evgeny Farrakhov, was unanimously elected chairman of the Public Council, and a member of the Russian Geological Society Alexander Romanchenko and a representative of the National Association of Corporate Directors Mikhail Sharkov became his deputies, according to the website of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia.

The event was held with the participation of representatives of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation Vladislav Grib and Elena Sharoikina.

The meeting was also addressed by Vladislav Grib, Chairman of the Commission for Public Control and Interaction with Public Councils of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, and Evgeny Kiselev, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation - Head of the Federal Agency on Mineral Resources.

The main agenda of the newly elected Council for 2021 will be discussed in March 2021 at the next meeting.
