The official website of the Moscow Mayor has announced that an eco-festival will be held at the Southern River Terminal on October 26. The event aims to increase citizens' interest in environmental conservation.
The festival program includes creative workshops, interactive lectures on ecology, an exhibition, and film screenings. For example, at the "Sborka" eco-center workshop, guests can use special equipment to make a souvenir pin or keychain from plastic bottle caps. Citizens will also learn about the "Good Caps" project and see the recycling process. Those who wish can donate clean caps for recycling. Used batteries can also be dropped off at the festival site.
Visitors will also be able to make coasters and decorations at a workshop organized by the Leadership and Volunteering Center of the National Research University Higher School of Economics. Participants will also learn about conscious consumption and useful habits. An eco-bar will be operating at the festival site, offering visitors mini-sets of gourmet nuts with natural fruit and herb flavors. Guests can also participate in a quiz, quiz, and eco-quest.
Young visitors will be invited to make crafts from improvised materials together with the characters of the animated series "Turbozaurs" and take photos with them. The media hall will host film screenings, interactive and gaming lectures on a sustainable lifestyle and waste sorting.
Festival guests can also take a ride on the 2.0 electric bike of the city's "Velobike" rental system along the Moscow River embankment and play board games. Those who wish can participate in a home plant exchange or visit a mobile exhibition of the Recycling Museum.
