Moscow Domodedovo Airport has overcome a new milestone. Over the entire history of the airline, more than 777 million passengers have chosen Domodedovo for travel.

"For 61 years, passengers have been transported through Domodedovo Airport in an amount comparable to the number equivalent to 5 populations of Russia. We do not stand still, we are constantly developing, improving the infrastructure and quality of service. This year we have opened a new segment of the passenger terminal designed for international flights. Now the Boeing 777s, which are in tune with the total passenger traffic of the airport, are serviced there. Over the past 20 years alone, this type of aircraft has transported about 17 million passengers through our airport," said Domodedovo Airport Director Andrey Pavlov.

The history of aviagavani dates back to 1962. In Soviet times, Domodedovo was used for domestic flights: flights were mainly carried out to Siberia, the Far East, Central Asia, the Volga Region and the Urals. In 1992, the airport began to serve international flights.

Nowadays, the route network of the air harbor covers more than 80 travel destinations: 49 of them are in Russia, 22 are in neighboring countries and 13 are in non-CIS countries. Among the unique destinations for the Moscow aviation hub, where you can travel only from Domodedovo Airport: Blagoveshchensk, Bratsk, Bugulma, Kurgan, Kyzyl, Norilsk, Sabetta, Tobolsk, Chita, Kulyab, Lankaran, Navoi, Nukus, Tamchi, Kutaisi, Addis Ababa, Bahrain, Casablanca, Kuwait, Sharjah and Tel Aviv.
