According to the Finno-Ugric Ethnopark on its website, every day of the festival poster includes one or two or three presentations of national dishes of the Finno-Ugric peoples: Komi, Karelians, Izhors, Saami, Udmurts, Mari, Erzya and Moksha.
"Shangafest" will be held for the fifth time, it includes a master lunch and master dinners, which will be held by chefs from the regions of Russia.
For example, the tribal Saami community from the Murmansk region will touch on two gastronomic topics at once - ethnic and Arctic cuisine.
“The program of festive events will be strengthened by the performances of gastronomy stars. Nika Ganich, TV presenter, member of the National Guild of Chefs of Russia, Maxim Syrnikov, culinary blogger and author of books on Russian culinary, as well as culinary historians Pavel and Olga Syutkina, are invited as VIP guests to Shangafest.
Tasting dishes will alternate with performances by creative teams. Artists from Mari El, Udmurtia, Murmansk, Mordovia and the Leningrad region arrived in the Komi Republic to participate in Shangafest.
Special guests of the festival are the delegations of the Republic of Dagestan and the Republic of Tatarstan.
On August 20 and 21, festivities will be held in the Finno-Ugric ethnopark as part of the Shangafest. On the territory of the tourist complex, restaurant houses of Finno-Ugric peoples and courtyards of cities and regions of Komi will open, trade in souvenirs and farm products will unfold. On both days, a performance by the State Puppet Theater of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Vorkuta) will be presented on the stage of the Congress Hall.
