The high tourist season has started in Crimea, all rooms in hotels and resorts of the middle price segment have been booked until September, in addition, Russians will not need any certificates or even medical insurance to travel there, as announced on Tuesday by the head of the RK Sergey Aksenov.

“About 450 facilities have already opened for tourists, ready to fulfill all the requirements of Rospotrebnadzor, and new applications are added every day,” he said.

“We are also ready to accept vacationers on 450 beaches, but keeping in mind the social distance is more difficult here, we rely on the consciousness of the Russians themselves, although we are ready to provide the necessary medical assistance if necessary.”

According to him, 950 beds have been deployed in the republic for those infected with the coronavirus, but less than 10% of them are used. He also expressed the hope that the high air temperature that rose in the Crimea in the summer (+30 or more degrees Celsius in the sun) will help curb the spread of the virus.

Aksenov said that some hotels could slightly increase prices for vacations in the current season due to costs associated with the late start of the holiday season, and in each case, responding to complaints from tourists on social networks, local authorities find out the validity of margins and have a dialogue with hoteliers.

Crimea began to receive tourists from other territories of Russia on July 1, and on June 15, domestic tourism for Crimeans started.
