The capital's tourism committee spoke on its website about the September program of the Moscow Estates festival, which will last until the end of the first month of autumn. It includes immersive performances, picnics, audio plays, literary readings and other interesting events.

At the festival, children and adults will be able to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of different eras, study the history of estates and learn how the townspeople lived in the past. 15 metropolitan estates will open their doors.

“The festival introduces residents and guests of the capital to the history of the capital’s estates through theatrical excursions, master classes, lectures, literary readings, educational picnics and table conversations,” Mosturizm noted.

So, on September 9 you can visit the Izmailovo estate, where at a historical lecture they will talk about the secrets of palace coups in Russia. Theater fans are welcome to attend the performance “Sketches from the Life of Izmailovsky Island.” In addition, you can join the table conversation on the topic "Traditions of picnics through the eras in the Izmailovo estate." Participants will enjoy a fascinating lecture and sweet treats. The program also includes an excursion and an audio performance dedicated to the home stories of the family estate of the Romanov dynasty.

“Among them there is a legend that it was here that the future emperor Peter I found an old boat in the barn, which is now called the grandfather of the Russian fleet,” the message says.

And on September 10, the festival events will take place at the Kuskovo estate. In particular, there will be a table talk for those who want to learn how to take beautiful photos. The presenter will introduce you to the rules of perspective and exposure. Guests can also go on an interactive walk "One day in the life of a Russian nobleman" with games of gorodok, spillikins and charades. In addition, they will be shown an immersive performance dedicated to the development of the fortress theater in the Kuskovo estate under Count Nikolai Sheremetev, who lived there in the second half of the 18th century.

Readings of the Vyazemsky Literary Salon will be held at the Ostafyevo estate on September 16.

“The founder of the estate, Prince Andrei Vyazemsky, at the end of the 18th and beginning of the 19th centuries, often invited his friends to literary evenings. At these meetings, writers and poets read their works to each other for the first time. Visitors to the estate will have a unique opportunity to listen to the works that writers presented to friends for judgment more than 200 years ago,” Mosturizm said.

On September 17, the Valuevo estate will host a bike tour, immersive performances and a table talk about the origin of proverbs and sayings about food. Then there will be a lecture on how the famous Soviet films “My Sweet and Gentle Beast”, “Hussar Ballad” and others were filmed in the estate.

On September 23, in the Sviblovo estate, visitors will be offered to go on a sightseeing tour, listen to a lecture “Traditions of Spiritual Folk Singing”, attend a concert by the Sirin Ensemble, which will perform ancient Russian spiritual songs.

On September 24, Vorontsovo Manor will host a master class in floristry - guests will be taught how to make boutonnieres from different flowers. Then children and adults will be able to take part in a chess tournament. And on this day, they will conduct tours of the estate and present an audio performance dedicated to its history.

The Moscow Estates festival will end on September 30. On this day, visitors will be welcomed by the Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve, where they will be invited to play the interactive game “One Day in the Life of a Nobleman.” It will also be possible to listen to the lecture “Great noble nests: estates and their owners”. In addition, literary readings dedicated to Leo Tolstoy’s autobiographical work “Confession” will be held in Kolomenskoye. Together with actress Natalya Garanina, festival guests will discuss the work of the famous writer. At 18:00 a concert will take place near the Alexei Mikhailovich Palace.

The Moscow Estates festival started on July 1. Its events are held on weekends. On a certain day, each of the architectural and park ensembles presents its own program of excursions, master classes, lectures, theatrical performances and literary readings.
