From April 21 to April 23, Pereslavl-Zalessky will host the already traditional ballooning festival. It is expected that 13 hot air balloons from the capital, Yaroslavl and Moscow regions will take part in it. This was announced by the Department of Tourism of the Yaroslavl region on its website.

“There is a unique opportunity not only to watch the flight of hot air balloons, but also to rise into the sky yourself, admire the views of one of the most beautiful cities of the Golden Ring of Russia from a bird's eye view. Such spectacular events undoubtedly contribute to the development of domestic tourism,” the message says.

In total, five flights are planned - on Friday evening, as well as in the morning and evening on Saturday and Sunday.

“The total rise of balloons into the air is a grandiose spectacle. The size of each apparatus is comparable to the height of a five-story building. You can watch, take pictures and communicate with team members - flight participants for free," the department said.

Those who wish will also be able to ride a balloon in the format of a tethered lift, when the device rises in the air and is fixed at a certain height, without making a full-fledged air ride.

As noted by the acting Director of the Department of Tourism of the Yaroslavl Region Maxim Tsvetkov, the festival has long become a branded event that annually attracts many guests to the region.

"This event will provide a vibrant program of experiences and will allow viewers to experience strong emotions," he said in the message.
