On September 29–30, 2023, the Altai Republic will host the second environmental forum - the International Forum “Eco Altai. Thread of Nature" will take place on the territory of the off-season resort "Manzherok". Environmental initiatives, development projects and advanced environmental practices of Russian regions will be presented at the Forum. The organizers of the event are the Roscongress Foundation, the government of the Altai Republic and the Altai Republic Development Center ANO.
The business program included strategic sessions: “New opportunities for sustainable development - in search of a balance between economics and ecology”, “Territorial development policy and territorial design”, “Tourist code. Ecotourism and infrastructure. Development of tourism in specially protected natural areas”, “Philosophy of thinking. Education: new horizons of eco-cultural education”, “Unique ecology as a factor and limitation of sustainable development. Eurasian practices" and "Health. Lifestyle. The role of traditional and folk medicine in the development of new points of sustainable development of territories.” The key event of the Forum will be the plenary session “From ecology of thinking to environmental sovereignty.”
Representatives of federal and regional executive and legislative authorities of the Russian Federation, heads of constituent entities, representatives of foreign states, as well as specialists from environmental, scientific, educational and public organizations and environmental communities will take part in the discussions.
“Preparations for the Forum are at the final stage, and this year we see that the Forum has acquired significant expert weight. In the business program, we tried to reflect those issues that will help the regions in building an effective environmental policy, using the experience of both our country and foreign colleagues. We see the main idea of the Forum precisely in its practical orientation, the consolidation of innovations and best practices in the implementation of environmental tasks for different regions,” emphasized Igor Pavlov, Deputy Director General of the Roscongress Foundation.
