The Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Fisheries of the Murmansk Region reminded local residents and tourists that any economic activity is prohibited in the Teriberka Nature Park. This also applies to the collection and removal of objects of inanimate nature without the permission of the managing institution.
“And this means that the “dragon eggs” stones, so beloved by all visitors to the park, should be left on the shore. Anyone wishing to take a "souvenir" from the trip with them faces an administrative fine of three to four thousand rubles," the ministry's website said in a statement.
The ministry emphasized that nature long and diligently “turned each stone with the power of waves and winds, gave it a unique shape and color, so that now we can admire them.”
Meanwhile, in February alone, more than 16,400 people registered on the ministry's website to visit the Teriberka Natural Park, and this figure is expected to only grow.
“If each visitor takes away a “souvenir” with him, then in a short time the beach will simply disappear from the face of the earth. Remember the fragility of our nature and take care of it,” the ministry said.
