As reported in the national park, this guy under the number Leo 10M is a real star. Popularity came to him in 2013 during the all-Russian voting in the competition "Come up with the name of the leopard." The leopard received the name Lord due to its royal appearance. Now, Leo 10M is almost 13 years old. The average life expectancy of Amur leopards in the wild is usually around 15 years. Despite his age, Leo 10M does not behave like a “senior citizen”, does not show fear and is ready to show his best.

The video was recorded by an automatic camera. In a unique video, the Lord not only demonstrated the behaviour of a healthy beast, but also showed himself to be a confident master of this territory.

This video participated in the V All-Russian contest "Trap-2019". You can vote for a video with Lord, as well as for other outstanding shots from camera traps made on the territory of «Land of the Leopard» from November 1 to December 25 at the contest website

The Amur leopard is the rarest subspecies of the cat family on our planet. It is the most peaceful and northernmost subspecies of leopards. A hundred years ago, these predators populated the entire Korean peninsula and northeast of China. However, in the twentieth century, hunting and fires in its habitat led to disastrous consequences.

Currently, the Amur leopard is on the brink of extinction. According to various estimates, about 80 animals of this kind live in nature. Moreover, most them live on the territory of Russia in the Primorsky Territory and a smaller amount - in China. About 70 percent of the habitat of the rare predator is under the protection of the «Land of the Leopard» National Park. In 2018, 92 adult species and and 22 cubs were recorded in the territory of the park.
