The official website of the Kamchatka Territory announced the start of the All-Russian gathering of young tourists. The last time Kamchatka hosted the main event in children's tourism in Russia was in 2001.

This July, 25 sports teams from 21 regions of Russia will hike along the tourist trails of the peninsula. In total, about 280 participants will get acquainted with the unique nature of Kamchatka and show their sports skills.

The rally will take place in several stages and will end on July 30. After many days of hiking, the teams will gather at the festival glade near Mount Moroznaya to take part in the competition program and sum up the results. They will present reports on campaigns, the results of which will determine the winners of the rally.

For hiking, the Kamchatka House of Children's and Youth Tourism and Excursions has identified 3 main tourist areas: the Nalychevsky Nature Park, the Bakening Volcano area and the Klyuchevskoy Nature Park. For each route, an alternative option has been developed in case of natural disasters.

"All routes of the rally will pass through specially protected natural areas. Each team will be given local history and environmental tasks. Participants will observe the basic environmental principles on the routes, monitor and publicly control trails, record accumulations of waste and excessive anthropogenic load," the message says.

Before going on the routes, the specialists of the Kamchatka House of Children's and Youth Tourism and Excursions will provide the teams with all the necessary methodological assistance in climbing the routes, conduct safety training sessions, instruct how to avoid a meeting with a bear and how to behave with wild animals.
