All-Russian excursion flash mob will begin in Vladivostok

In Vladivostok, on August 26, an all-Russian excursion flash mob starts. It will start on the banks of the Golden Horn, and then "march" through the regions of the country. There will also be foreign participants - Belarus and Kazakhstan. This was reported by the Tourist Portal of Primorsky Krai.

“The current action is already the seventh. As part of this event, many free tours, lectures, master classes and creative meetings with interesting people will take place,” the message says.

The mission of the action is the presentation and popularization of objects of historical and cultural heritage of the region in which the excursion flash mob takes place. Excursion programs are primarily focused on the younger generation and youth.

“We do not pursue the goal of conducting many hours of full-fledged excursions. Our task is to present the rich excursion potential of our city, the author's routes of our respected local historians and guides. Therefore, all excursions last no more than 1.5 hours and are actually presentations of real excursion routes, ”said Darya Guseva, head of the Section of Local History and Tour Studies of the Primorsky Regional Branch of the Russian Geographical Society - OIAK and a representative of the TIC Primorye. A feature of the current seaside sightseeing flashmob is the presentation of a historical walk in the center of Vladivostok along the new route "Nevelskoy Ring".

“December 2023 will mark the 210th anniversary of the birth of Admiral Gennady Nevelsky, and the organizers of the local flash mob have teamed up with the team of the Nevelskoy: Fruits of the Imagination project to implement a new joint route designed to honor the memory and merits of this great man,” the report says.

The program of the flash mob also includes the tour "Eleanor Lord Prae: A Lifetime Journey", dedicated to an American who came to Primorye on her honeymoon, but lived there for more than 30 years, left many letters and photographs, becoming the first blogger in Vladivostok.

The excursion “Ships entered the harbor” will be devoted to the history of the midday shot ceremony, ships and vessels, their general arrangement.

Another excursion will acquaint you with the monuments to those people who played a crucial role in the development of the Far East and the formation of Vladivostok as the main port city on the Pacific Ocean.

A tour of Pushkinskaya Street - one of the oldest in Vladivostok - will tell you how and why several streets were combined at the end of the 19th century, about the first church of the port city, the Chinese consulate, the Oriental Institute, about the famous people of the Primorsky capital.
