This year, about 50 billion rubles will be allocated from the federal budget to support the tourism sector.

This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko in his greeting to the participants of the Russian tourist forum "Travel!", which opened on Thursday.

“This will make it possible to build a new number of rooms, infrastructure of resorts, support entrepreneurial initiatives, national tourist routes and provide free of charge educational trips of our schoolchildren and youth,” Chernyshenko said in a press release from the Roscongress Foundation.

The business program of the forum "Travel!" opened the plenary session “Tourism as a factor of regional development. Plans and new solutions” with the participation of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia.

The session participants discussed the key tasks for the development of domestic tourism for 2025-2030 within the framework of the national project "Tourism and the hospitality industry", measures of state support and financing of the industry, and new approaches to the development of tourism.

Forum and festival "Travel!" takes place from 8 to 11 June in Moscow at VDNKh.
