About 18 million rubles returned by travelers at Domodedovo Airport through the Tax free system

Domodedovo Customs and Moscow Domodedovo Airport summed up the results of the Tax free system for 5 months of 2023.

Customs officers registered 96 cash receipts for purchases with a total value of about 18 million rubles.

Since the beginning of 2023, passengers from more than 30 countries have used the services of the Tax free system to apply for a VAT refund. The most active were travelers from the United Arab Emirates, China, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan.

Most often the passengers of the air harbor issued a tax refund for the purchase of jewelry, watches, perfumes, shoes, clothing and accessories. The most expensive purchase of 2023, for which foreign citizens returned the tax, was a watch worth 3.9 million rubles.

Moscow Domodedovo Airport was one of the first in the country to join the Tax free system for foreign passengers. You can apply for a VAT refund at four offices in the terminal.
