During the period from May to September, 1,470 kg of recyclable materials were collected in the Trans-Baikal National Park, which will be sent for processing. This is 100 kg more than last year, the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Reserved Podlemorye", which manages the national park, reported on its website.
"A total of 1,168 kg of glass, 249.6 kg of plastic, 49.4 kg of metal and 3 kg of plastic caps will be recycled," the environmental institution said.
As per the message, the program "National parks without garbage" has been operating on the territory of the Trans-Baikal National Park for five years. Thanks to the support of the Lake Baikal Foundation, the number of infrastructure facilities for separate waste collection and the number of thematic information boards are increasing every year in a specially protected natural area.
The bill received proposals from regions, the Presidential Administration, the Security Council, federal agencies, public organizations, and nearly 1,500 citizen appeals.
