The press service of the regional administration reported that this is already the 32nd ecological trail in the Leningrad Region, created as part of the Trail 47 project.
The new route is called "Yukkovskie kamy". It starts near the village of Yukki on the shores of Tokhkolodsky Lake, which is included in the list of UNESCO protected sites. The trail passes through coniferous hilly landscapes with height differences up to 10 meters. The route is equipped with recreation areas, navigation signs, interactive panels with information about the animals and flora of the territory.
The route is based on historically formed forest trails, which the locals use to walk around the area. Thus, it was equipped with minimal interference with the forest ecosystem.
By the end of the year, 37 more routes are planned to be opened in the Leningrad Region.
