Reserves and sanctuaries of the Crimea will be protected from illegal tourist "rides" on jeeps, ATVs and motorcycles with penalties. According to the press service of the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of the region, the State Council of the Republic of Crimea adopted a bill on fines for the provision of auto tourism services without approved route passports.

"The organizers of illegal auto tours conduct excursions without taking into account the safety of tourists, endangering not only the health, but also the lives of guests and residents of Crimea. In addition, irreparable damage is caused to the nature of the peninsula - most jeep tours pass through the protected areas of Crimea, without coordinating routes with the directorates of specially protected areas of regional significance,"- said the head of the department Vadim Volchenko.

The fine from officials will be from 5 to 10 thousand rubles, from legal entities will amount from 25 to 50 thousand rubles, in case of recurrences within a year, the fine will be increased from 10 thousand to 50 thousand rubles and from 30 thousand to 100 thousand rubles, respectively.
