Its opening is scheduled for 2025. The center will be located in a restored building with a century-old history. The main points of attraction for Lions and Roses will be the public library and the archaeological museum. The Kenozero National Park announced this on its website.

“The museum has already received the name “Where am I from? Archaeological portrait of Kenozerye. It is connected with the question that each of us asks himself sooner or later: where am I from? who are my ancestors? How long have people settled in my area? To answer these questions, visitors to the projected museum will be offered to penetrate the thickness of the centuries and get to those distant people who first developed the Kenozero lands,” the national park said.
Archaeological finds of the 19th-17th-16th centuries, for example, sickles, will appear in a historical retrospective. The visitor will see that the oldest household tools have survived to this day in their original state.

When creating the museum, emphasis will be placed on the geographical and climatic components of the history of Kenozero.

“It is very important to understand how and why people chose places to settle in this territory. The exposition of the museum will be built on the history of human adaptation to life in this area. Getting acquainted with the exhibits, it will be possible to understand why at a certain period people in Kenozero hunted, and then fishing became their main occupation,” the National Park noted.

Among the most interesting exhibits is an anthropomorphic figurine dating back to the second millennium BC. e., discovered during excavations at the Kositsyno site in 2019. Museum visitors will also see objects of church archeology - documents of the Ken Monastery, the only bearers of memory about it. In addition, the museum will show ancient fragments of buildings and lost houses. There will be a model of an ancient birch bark boat, the symbol of the Kensky Volok.
