A colorful ethno show awaits guests of the International Festival of the Peoples of the North "Soul of Russia"

The press service of the Roscongress Foundation reported that the event will become part of the cultural program of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which will be held in St. Petersburg from June 14 to 17.

The International Festival of the Peoples of the North "Soul of Russia" will take place at the Lenfilm studio. The unique ethno show is expected to bring together iconic representatives of modern ethnic music and dance art. More than 15 fashionable and creative ethnic DJs and bands will take part in the performance.

In particular, the Krasnoyarsk group OTYKEN and the HAGRIN group from Kalmykia, the governor's national dance ensemble "Syra'sev" from Salekhard, Popescu from Sergiev Posad, Damir Aka from St. Petersburg, the national song and dance ensemble "Kantele" from Karelia, the traditional Chukchi ensemble "Nomad" from Moscow, the ZVENTA SVENTANA group, the state song and dance ensemble "Asya kya" from Syktyvkar, Yuliana Krivoshapkin from Yakutia, the theater of the Ob-Ugric peoples "Sun", the author's project "Crossover" of the vocal group "Fa #" from Ugra, folklore ensemble "Northern Lights" of the Institute of the Peoples of the North of the Russian State Pedagogical University. A.I. Herzen, as well as ethnomusicians Sergei Starostin, Sergei Klevensky and Sergei Filatov.

The festival will also showcase the best projects and achievements of representatives of the creative industries in Russia, with an emphasis on regional and ethnic characteristics. Particular attention will be paid to the modern rethinking of the traditional creative industries of the indigenous peoples of the North.
