It is dedicated to the traditions of fishing, the "fish table" and is timed to coincide with the celebration of the Fisherman's Day, which is celebrated on the second Sunday of July.
“During the days of the festival, different thematic zones will be organized in the Kizhi Gavan museum complex: a presentation of the fishery, a demonstration and tasting of the “fish cuisine”. Visitors will be able to get acquainted with traditional crafts related to fishing. The Kizhi eco-platform, fish competitions and games will operate,” the Russian Ministry of Culture reported on its website.
In addition, the guests will visit the "Fish Fair", which will be held with the participation of the leading manufacturers of the fish processing industry of Karelia. The festival program also includes the finals of the competitions for the best fish dish, the best fish tackle and the best Fisherman's Tale.
