To remove 1.2 tons of garbage – 125 volumetric tires and 13 two–hundred-liter barrels - participants needed a loader and six KAMAZ trucks.
According to the organizers on the project page in vk.com – this is the first cleaning of a series of clean–up activities in the urban district of Usinsk: the next in line is the forest fund of the village of Kolva and the catchment area of the village of Sedyu on September 28 and 29.
The Republic of Komi has been a participant in the Clean Arctic project for several years, during which volunteers clean the territories from pollution left over from the development of the Arctic during the Soviet period.
Together with volunteers, Ekaterina Kiselevich, the head of the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Komi Republic, representatives of the Usinsk administration and Lukoil-Komi Company took part in cleaning the area around the 89th drilling rig.
