Head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Environmental Management (Rosprirodnadzor) Svetlana Radionova reported to Russian President Vladimir Putin on the implementation of eco-projects in Russia. She spoke about the protection of Red Book animals, including whales and polar bears. She recalled that the rescue of a bear, who had a jar of condensed milk stuck on his tongue, caused a resonance.

"Everyone was watching it, children wrote to us. Specialists from the Moscow Zoo, Rosprirodnadzor and Norilsk Nickel flew to the village of Dikson and rescued the bear. They immobilized her, she fell asleep and the jar was takent of her mouth," she said.

"Also, everyone was watching the rehabilitation of the bear, whose limbs were immobilized: he was placed in the Moscow Zoo, lived a long life for a bear with such injuries," Svetlana Radionova added.

At the request of the President, the head of the department reported on how work is progressing to implement the goals of the national project "Ecology" and the federal projects "Clean Country" and "Clean Air".

"Instead of a landfill, we get a clean, healthy area and actually a green lawn," she gave an example. "We do the same for all other projects."
