Russians have significantlyincreased their interest in travelingin the Far East, the Arctic, the Russian North and Siberia. This isevidenced by the results of a surveyconducted by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) and the B1group of companies among fourthousand tourists.
According to the study, 29% of respondents expressed a desire to visit the Far East this year,compared to 17% in 2023. 21% of respondents are interested in the Russian North and the Arctic and19% are interested in Siberia. TheKrasnodar Territory (42%), Moscowand St. Petersburg (38%), and the Caucasus (36%) remain the most attractive for travel.
When traveling in Russia, touristsmost often settled in hostels, mini-hotels, inns and motels withoutclassification or with a "star rating"of three or lower (45%). 29% livedwith their friends, 27% used the private sector or rented an apartment, 21% preferred holidayhomes, sanatoriums or camp sites.Only 8% were interested in campingand glamping, sever-press.ru notes.
