The press service of the Russian Geographical Society announced the recruitment of participants in the new environmental movement "Volunteer of the Arctic". The large-scale project was created within the framework of the youth ecological and social project "Arctic. General cleaning".
The participants of the movement will gain new knowledge and the opportunity for self-realization. They are waiting for a training course that will tell them how to conduct scientific research in the Arctic, analyze the types, forms and volumes of pollution, as well as determine the best methods of their elimination.
Those who have successfully passed the competitive selection will receive a certificate and will be able to join the RGS expedition to clean up the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation from man-made pollution "Arctic. General cleaning". It will be held in the rural settlement of Khatanga in the Krasnoyarsk Territory in 2024.
