Norilsk Nickel to finance 11 social initiatives in Taimyr

Under Nornickel's “World of New Opportunities” grant program, the company will finance 112 socially important initiatives in the cities where it operates, 11 of which will be implemented in Taimyr.

Taimyr Telegraph reported that among the winners were Dudinsky Secondary School No. 3, the Junior Children and Youth Center for Tourism and Creativity, Taimyr College and Khatanga Secondary School No. 1.

Cultural institutions won two projects. As part of the program “On the Roads of the First Ones. Taimyr" it is planned to organize research activities and create VR excursions to the places of the Great Northern Expedition in the Taimyr Local Lore Museum.

A number of autonomous non-profit organizations also won grants. The projects will be implemented in 2024–2025, and the grant fund for the social projects competition amounted to 155 million rubles.
