North Global warming in the Arctic provides a chance for the development of tourism in the FarNorth, says ChristopherKonstantinidi, director of the Research Institute of Economics and Management of Sustainable Tourism Development at Saratov StateUniversity. According to him, there is a trend when people go for the cold.

"Today, global warming, in addition to all negative processes, createsadditional competitive advantages forthe development of tourism in the FarNorth. People do not want to be in thesouth during the peak of summer, inthe heat, they want to relax in theNorth, where it is comfortable andcool. Many, on the contrary, go for the cold. The trend is when Arabs cometo Moscow. This is an opportunity toget an international tourist here in theNorth," he told reporters.

According to him, it is necessary to present the gastronomy and uniqueterritories of each of the Arcticregions of Russia.

To date, Arctic destinations accountfor 5% of the total tourist flow in thecountry.
