Five unauthorized landfills have been discovered and eliminated in the Arctic territories in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District with the support of volunteers from the public organization "Green Arctic", the Yamal Prosecutor's office reported.
"During the supervisory measures, the environmental prosecutor's office identified five landfills of production and consumption waste on the territory of the village of Cape Kamenny with a total area of 0.7 hectares," the department said.
According to the results of the audit, an idea was made to eliminate violations of the law on environmental protection.
