In the first half of 2022, more than 1,100 coastal cleanup events were held in 65 regions, which were supported by over 60,000 people. The most active regions were: the Chuvashia, Tyumen, Bryansk, Novosibirsk and Chelyabinsk regions. Such data was provided by the federal coordinator of the Clean Country party project, chairman of the State Duma Committee on Ecology, Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Dmitry Kobylkin during a conference call to sum up the work for the first half of the year. It was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Russian Environmental Operator.

“Improving the quality of life of citizens, clean water, air, soil, a circular economy, waste reform, the development of ecotourism, the preservation and enhancement of natural resources are the tasks of both our party project “Clean Country” and the people’s program of “United Russia”, and the national project “Ecology ", Dmitry Kobylkin emphasized.

Users of the Up (Vverkh) application also joined the All-Russian party action "Clean Coast". Among them are representatives of public organizations, deputies, activists and supporters of United Russia.

For example, in the Moscow Region, as part of the action, more than 400 residents of the Ramensky District cleaned up the Borisoglebskoye Lake in the center of Ramenskoye, in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, volunteers cleaned the banks of the Borzovka River, in the Krasnoyarsk Territory - the Yenisei River Embankment, in the Leningrad Region - the coastal territory of the Tosno River.

In the second half of 2022, as part of the Clean Country party project, more than 400 tree planting events are planned, with about 36,000 people ready to join.

First Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Ecologists, member of the public council of the party project Konstantin Tsyganov agreed that environmental issues and measures to protect the environment are the most relevant for people.

“We feel significant support for the entire agenda of the Ministry of Natural Resources, including the implementation of the Ecology national project,” he stressed.

Summing up the interim results of the national project, Konstantin Tsyganov noted that annually the amount for its implementation is more than 100 billion rubles. 129 billion rubles have already been allocated for this.

“By 2024, we must eliminate 191 unauthorized dumps within city boundaries and 88 dangerous objects of accumulated harm. By July 1, 41 landfills and 67 hazardous facilities have already been eliminated,” he said.

Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Ecology, Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Alexander Kogan recalled that the people's program of the party provides for the exercise of party control over the liquidation of these facilities.

“We need to organize monitoring groups by August 27, which should include regional coordinators, members of the public councils of the Clean Country party project, State Duma deputies from the regions where landfills and landfills are located, and leaders of public opinion. Groups should go to sites that are being reclaimed, assess the quality, terms, identify problems, find out what kind of help is needed. We will compare this with the reports of the Ministry of Natural Resources,” he said.

United Russia has been implementing the Clean Country federal project since 2019. It brings together the efforts of the party, federal and regional authorities, professional ecologists, public figures, volunteers, and Russian citizens for the most effective solution of environmental problems.

For the first time, the thematic block dedicated to environmental well-being was included in the United Russia people's program, with which the party won the elections to the State Duma. The party proposes a set of measures that will significantly improve the environmental situation in the country in the next five years. In particular, we are talking about the creation of a modern environmental monitoring system, the installation of online monitoring devices for harmful emissions and discharges at all large polluting enterprises, control over the liquidation of unauthorized dumps, creating conditions for waste disposal, minimizing the volume of waste disposal, developing ecological tourism in especially protected natural areas while preserving their ecosystems and creating an effective forest protection system.
