A walrus attacked a ship of Russian tourists near Franz Josef Land. The video of the incident was published in the group of the Russian Geographical Society "Vkontakte".
The footage shows how the animal emerges from the water and forcefully hits the rubber boat with its tusks.
It was suspended above the water and attached to the vessel. With a powerful blow of the tusks, the coating of the boat was pierced and it deflated.
Experts explained why the walrus behaved so aggressively and attacked. The animal thus protected its territory and offspring, which, apparently, was nearby, novosti-murmanskoy-oblasti.ruwrites.
