80 tons of scrap metal collected under the Clean Arctic project delivered to Yakutsk

The vehicles delivered 80 tons of scrap metal to Yakutsk, collected from 2022 in the Arctic territories of Yakutia by Yanolovo and Yanzoloto companies within the framework of the federal Clean Arctic project, said Sergey Neustroev, First Deputy Minister for Arctic Development and Affairs of the Peoples of the North of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).

According to him, the scrap metal collection point will be sent for recycling. Work on cleaning up the Arctic territories of Yakutia will continue this year.

The federal project "Clean Arctic" was launched in August 2021 in the village of Tiksi, Bulunsky district, and then extended to other Arctic regions of Yakutia.
