This was announced by Sergey Hvorostyany, Deputy Director General for International Relations and Tourism of Rosa Khutor, as part of the Festival of Mountain Resorts of Eurasia taking place at the resort.
- According to the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, the growth of inbound tourism to the country for foreign visitors in 2023 amounted to 3.5 percent. Speaking of those who stayed in Rosa Khutor hotels, this figure increased by 23 percent compared to 2022. I am glad that the resort has contributed to the number of 8.5 million tourists who have come to Russia from abroad," Sergey Hvorostyany shared.
So, if in 2022 the number of foreign citizens who visited the Rosa Khutor resort amounted to 3,624 people, then in 2023 this number increased to 4,411 people. The positive dynamics of the growth of foreign visitors continues in 2024.
"The figures for January 2024 are 39 percent higher than those for January 2023, and February 2024 is 59 percent higher than February 2023," said Sergey Hvorostyany, Deputy Director General for International Relations and Tourism at Rosa Khutor.
In total, in 2023, tourists from 102 countries visited Rosa Khutor, in a record 2019 this number reached 124. Among the foreign guests of the resort, the most – 54 percent – representatives of CIS countries, 27 percent – countries of the Middle East, including the Persian Gulf states, 11 percent – European countries, including Germany, Austria, France, and 4 percent of China. It is expected that the activities of the Eurasian Alliance of Mountain Resorts, which unites the Russian resort Rosa Khutor, the Kazakh "Shymkent" and the Uzbek "Amirsoy", the Azerbaijani "Shahdag" will also contribute to the further growth of the international tourist flow to Russia.
