Prospects for expanding cooperation in attracting investments in tourism projects were discussed at a meeting of the Russian-Turkish working group on tourism, which took place in Ankara on November 24. This was announced by the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia on its website.
"The tourism sector of Russia and Turkey is attractive not only for tourists themselves, but also for investors," said the head of the Russian delegation, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Russia Vladimir Ilyichev, whose words are quoted in the message.
The parties agreed to develop a joint roadmap for investment projects and present it at the next meeting of the working group in Russia in 2024.
During the meeting, representatives of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Turkey, Rospotrebnadzor, and the Bank of Russia also raised issues of the need to ensure a safe and comfortable stay for tourists, the availability of non-cash payments, as well as the promotion of tourist products within the framework of exhibition activities.
