Zim attracts more visitors in Q3

The Zimbabwe National Statistics Agency (Zimstats) says there was a notable 46.7% increase in the influx of international tourists to Zimbabwe during the third quarter of 2023.

The southern African country reported that the number of international tourists rose to 470,000 from 320,000 during the same period in 2022.

Zimstats acting director-general Matiwonesa Phiri said transit passengers accounted for 28.5% of the total number of visitors, and holiday travellers made up 44.2%.

Zimbabwe is distinguished by its favourable climate and variety of tourist attractions.

The Eastern Highlands, Victoria Falls, and Kariba are some of the popular tourist destinations.
