Tourists from other regions of the country began to visit Moscow more often

The official website of the mayor of Moscow reported an increase in the number of tourists from the regions who come to the capital. At the moment, they form 90% of the total tourist flow to the capital. This is also facilitated by the organization of business missions in the regions of the Russian Federation, whose participants tell their colleagues about the best offers of the capital in the field of tourism.

"The capital actively cooperates with the regions and conducts business missions for representatives of the tourism industry, which has a positive effect on increasing the tourist flow. So, in 2023, the number of residents of many federal subjects who visited the capital, where business meetings were previously held, increased significantly — up to 44 percent," the message says.

Krasnodar Territory, Rostov Region and Nizhny Novgorod Region are among the leaders in increasing the tourist flow from among the participants of business missions.

Business missions allow representatives of the tourism industry to get to know partners in the regions and make new business contacts, as well as present the best travel offers in Moscow. Participants of such events can get acquainted with the event poster and city projects, as well as learn a lot about the infrastructure of the capital. As part of the business missions, Mosturism also presents the digital travel service Russpass.

Last year, representatives of the Nizhny Novgorod, Chelyabinsk, Sverdlovsk, Samara, Rostov and Tyumen regions, Primorsky, Stavropol and Krasnodar Territories, the Republic of Bashkortostan and KhMAO-Yugra took part in business missions of Mosturism. This year, Moscow will continue to organize these events.
