Tourists can now notify the Ministry of Emergency Situations about a planned difficult or dangerous hike immediately before starting the route. The corresponding decree was signed by the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin.
Until now, travelers were required to inform the Ministry of Emergency Situations no later than ten working days in advance.
Changes have also been made to the definition of difficult and dangerous hikes. If previously it was necessary to report routes passing through hard-to-reach areas, water, mountain, speleological and other objects associated with an increased risk to life, now we are talking about routes that require an instructor-guide.
