The press service of the Government of the Russian Federation reported on the meeting of Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko with the head of the Republic of Adygea Murat Kumpilov, who, in particular, discussed tourism issues. Chernyshenko noted the growth of tourist flow to the republic and stated that after the implementation of the project of the all-season ski eco-resort "Lagonaki", the indicators will become even higher.

The first stage of the project is currently being implemented with the construction of a hotel complex with almost 700 rooms. 6 suspended cable cars and more than 25 km of ski trails will also be built. It is expected that the implementation of the project will double the tourist flow to Adygea.

The report notes that more than half a million tourists visit the republic annually. This year, about 100 thousand people came to Adygea for the New Year holidays. At the moment, such tourist destinations as ecotourism, event and gastronomic tourism are represented in the region, rural tourism is developing.

"The supporting infrastructure is being built now. 6.6 billion rubles are provided for these purposes within the framework of the national Tourism and Hospitality Industry project," Murat Kumpilov said.

In addition, three projects for the creation of modular hotels totaling 53.5 million rubles were supported in Adygea. This year, the number of such projects has increased to eight, and more than 103 million rubles have already been allocated for their implementation.
