The official website of the Mayor of Moscow announced that from August 23 to September 1, the annual festival of historical gardens will be held at the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve. Lectures, concerts, master classes, meetings with practicing architects and interactive programs will be prepared for the guests.

This year the theme of the festival was "Gardens in art". Visitors will be told how garden motifs inspired architects, painters, composers and writers in different historical eras. The guests will be presented with 15 compositions, 10 of which will be determined during an open competition among modern landscape designers. The remaining five will be created in partnership with well-known Russian museums and cultural institutions.

Designers will present their author's gardens in miniature. The compositions will be located on the territory of the former air gardens.

Over the past six years, more than 1.7 million people have visited the festivals of historical gardens in Tsaritsyn. An interesting open-air program is prepared for the guests every year. The authors of the project emphasize that this is the world's only garden and park festival in the reserve.
