The development of protected areas and environmental protection to be discussed in St. Petersburg

From March 27 to 29, 2024, the Expoforum Exhibition Center (St. Petersburg) will host the International Forum "Ecology of the Big City".

This is a congress and exhibition event in the field of environmental protection and environmental management, environmental protection equipment, technologies and services.

"The purpose of the Forum is to promote and introduce innovative environmental protection equipment and technologies in Russia that contribute to the conservation of natural resources, strengthen environmental safety, and improve the quality of life of the population in large cities," the event's website says.

Among the topics that will be raised at the forum are the development of specially protected natural areas, issues of environmental protection in cities, environmental monitoring, waste management, green technologies, closed-loop economics.

The guests of the event will learn about underwater environmental protection complexes, an unmanned catamaran-type device for collecting data on the state of water, an innovative domestic platform for working with geodata, a stationary air monitoring laboratory and much more.
