A scientific and practical conference "Big Altai: mountains and peopl" will be held in Gorno-Altaysk on December 12. The event, which has already become traditional, is organized by the Gorno-Altai State University (GAGA), the Katun Biosphere Reserve and other partners.
According to the information on the website of the Katunsky Reserve, specialists are invited to prepare reports on the phenomenon of resilience and adaptation of natural and anthropogenic landscapes of the Greater Altai in conditions of environmental instability, physical, geographical and geoecological studies of the Greater Altai, socio-economic aspects of interaction in the activities of specially protected natural territories, cognitive tourism in the Altai, field research in the transboundary biosphere the Big Altai Reserve and other topics.
Within the framework of the conference, a competition of scientific papers of students and schoolchildren will be held, as well as environmental and educational events for students of the GAGA.
