Sochi and Dubai Lead Domodedovo Airport's International Departures

Moscow Domodedovo Airport summed up the results of its work in the first quarter of 2024.

Dubai, Sharjah, Bishkek, Osh and Tashkent have become the most popular destinations for international travelers.

The passenger traffic to Dubai shows an increase of 19%. There is also an increase in the volume of traffic to Baku (+36%), Dushanbe (+41%), Kuwait (+124%). The number of passengers transported from DME to Ashgabat increased 4.2 times.

Sochi, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, St. Petersburg and Kaliningrad are in the highest demand on domestic airlines.

In the segment of transportation in Russia, the cities of the Volga region, the North, and Siberia show growth: Ulan-Ude, Sabetta, Kurgan, Irkutsk, and Izhevsk. Passenger traffic on each of these routes increased from 5% to 17% compared to the same period last year.

"The Middle East and the CIS are priority markets for the development of air transportation for Domodedovo Airport. More than 700 million people live in the macroregion, and there is a significant potential for passenger traffic," said Irina Ryabinina, Managing Director of Domodedovo Commercial Services.
