The flights are planned to be launched by the national airline of the kingdom Gulf Air. So far, the only Russian destination for the airline is Moscow. Along with Sochi, flights to St. Petersburg are planned. Due to the new destinations, Gulf Air plans to attract additional flows of Russian tourists to Bahrain itself, as well as provide convenient transit connections to European and Asian countries.

- The airline notes a significant increase in the interest of travelers from Bahrain to travel to Russia, especially against the background of the introduction of an electronic visa system. The launch of new flights will also ensure the flow of tourists not only from Bahrain itself, but also from other countries of the Middle East, in particular Saudi Arabia," said Yulia Vorotnikova, regional manager of Gulf Air in Russia.

Gulf Air is the national airline of the Kingdom of Bahrain with an annual passenger traffic of six million people, one of the oldest airlines in the Middle East. 39 Gulf Air liners serve more than 50 destinations worldwide. The airline has been flying to Moscow since 2014, flights are operated daily.
