Corporation "Tourism.RF" is working on complex tourism projects "Gates of the Urals" and "Big Water", which are planned to be implemented in the Chelyabinsk region under a cooperation agreement with the region. This is stated in the message on the corporation's website.
“On the basis of the existing ski center “Adzhigardak” it is planned to create a ski resort “Gates of the Urals”. The structure of the complex includes hotels and apart-hotels of three and four star categories, glamping and a spa center. The total number of rooms will be 450 rooms," Tourism.RF said.
There will be ski slopes with artificial snow systems, cable cars, sports and entertainment infrastructure.
“According to forecasts, the Gates of the Urals will be visited by over 300,000 people a year. Financing from the federal budget is provided for the construction of supporting infrastructure within the framework of the state program "Tourism Development". The resort complex will be put into operation in stages, the first stage will be completed in 2025.
The complex with the Bolshaya Voda (Big Water) water park will be built in the center of Chelyabinsk on an area of 35,000 sq.m.
“The new tourist facility will become a place for year-round family recreation with indoor pools, a spa area, a fitness center and a four-star hotel with 153 rooms. On the territory there will be water attractions for all age categories and a bath complex with a swimming pool. A dry beach and heated pools will be located on the roof of the building for outdoor recreation," Tourism.RF said.
The commissioning of the complex is scheduled for the 4th quarter of 2025.
According to the corporation, these tourist facilities will provide comfortable conditions for guests and open up new opportunities for all-season recreation.
