Lacking seaside beaches, Serbia is trying to attract tourists with its thermal spas. In total, the country has about a thousand hot and cold mineral springs, on which more than 40 health resorts are equipped. The most famous of them are Vrnjačka Banja, Sokobanja, Banja Prolom, Gerovska Banja, Banja Palić. In recent years, considerable funds have been invested here. And this is already bearing fruit: luxury hotels and spa centers attract tourists from Europe and Asia. Foreign guests are willing to pay 70-100 euros per night to enjoy a wellness holiday.
However, the demand here is for inexpensive accommodation options, since balneological centers and mineral pools can be visited separately.
Those who want to improve their health for little money also have a lot to choose from. Private apartments, small studios or apartments in residential buildings are offered at quite reasonable prices. For example, for only 5 euros per person, you can now stay in three-room apartments at the Vrnjačka Banja resort. In Banja Palić, a private house with an outdoor pool offers single rooms for 16 euros. There, an 85-meter apartment with the possibility of accommodating up to 5 people can be rented for 50 euros per day.
According to the director of the National Association of Travel Agencies, Aleksandar Seničić, the demand for wellness holidays in Serbia has grown significantly compared to the previous year.
