The official website of the Kamchatka Territory has announced that a regional ecological festival, "Sea of Life," will take place on September 28th in the center of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. The festival will open with a procession in defense of nature, involving children, teachers, and parents.

The festival aims to draw the attention of Kamchatka residents to the problem of preserving marine mammals. In the lecture zone, visitors will be able to listen to lectures by specialists from research and conservation institutions. Local residents will learn a lot of interesting things about the wildlife of Kamchatka, as well as how poaching, irrational fishing, human waste, global climate change, and the disruption of natural habitats are leading to a decline in populations of many species.

The festival will also offer guests a variety of ecological games and exciting quests prepared by employees of the Kronotsky Nature Reserve, the Commander Islands National Park, and the Volcanoes of Kamchatka Natural Park. Various creative workshops and souvenir shops will be operating at the festival site.
