The official website of the Kamchatka Territory reported that in the near future the scientific expedition will go to Ust-Kamchatsky district. There the group will study the Klyuchevskaya group of volcanoes. It will include specialists from the Institute of Volcanology, the Kamchatka Hydrometeorological Center and rescuers.

Scientists will try to predict the behavior of the Ermana glacier, frozen mudflow and ash in the flood-prone period next year. To do this, they will prepare special models that will allow you to prepare in advance for the spring flood. In addition, volcanologists plan to check the sensors and install new ones if necessary.

In early November, the Klyuchevskaya and Bezymyanny volcanoes erupted, which led to the melting of the Ermana Glacier and the descent of mudflows onto the roadway of the highway.
