Russian and Kazakh Tourists Injured in Turkish Bus Accident

A bus carrying Russian and Kazakh tourists was involved in a traffic accident in Turkey on August 8. Seven Russians were injured as a result of the crash.

According to local authorities, around 7 a.m., while traveling from Bodrum on an excursion, a truck rear-ended the bus.The truck driver, according to preliminary data, lost control. The force of the impact pushed the bus off the road.

There were 13 passengers on the bus, including two children. Seven Russian tourists, including one child, were taken to the nearest hospital with various injuries. Later, four people with minor bruises and cuts were discharged after receiving the necessary examination and first aid.

Three Russian citizens remain in the hospital: two with moderate injuries, and one woman is in serious condition.According to reports, all Russians were insured with the company "Euroins Tourist Insurance".

Representatives of the insurance company are in contact with the victims and their relatives. Insurance compensation and payment for treatment are proceeding as usual, the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) noted. All tourists have a policy for 40 thousand euros. Those who miss their scheduled flight due to being in the hospital will have another flight paid for by the insurer.

The truck driver has been detained, and the police are investigating the incident.
